The reason I think this trend (the replacement of the wallet by smart mobile phones), is more and more important is that consumers will making more and more buying decisions faciliated via their smart phone. If you link payments with the fact consumers are now on online social networks such as Facebook and Twitter via their smart phone, then as a business you should see the need to be present on these social networks. Your business can be in a consumers pocket when they are about to make a purchase.
With the number of smart phones on the rise there is a need to make your blog more mobile friendly. Nielsen predicts that “Smartphones to Overtake Feature Phones in U.S. by 2011″.
