From 1 Billion Tweets to 5 Billion Tweets – Twitter MileStone Tweet is Missing?
In November 2008, less than a year ago, Twitter passed the 1 Billion tweet milestone. Last Week, less than a year later it passed 5 Billion Tweets. The Tweet that broke through this barrier was sent by Robin Sloan. The Tweet itself is “@sexysloan9912e Oh lord” a reply to someone called @sexysloan9912e. Was this person a relation ? Note the Sloan in the name. Does anyone recognise this person?
According to “The Social” Blog by Caroline McCarty, in relation to Robin Sloan :
“It’s sort of fitting that Twitter’s 5 billionth tweet came not from one of the celebrities or marketers who have flooded the service in recent months, but from one of the quirky Bay Area dot-com nerds who formed its first loyal pack of users.”
I had a look for this Tweet and it appears to have been deleted, however it has been cached on Google. Have a look for yourself, Click Here.
